Support the Northern Orchestra –We are the premier amateur teaching, learning and performing group in the region
You can make a difference to the future sustainability of the Northern Orchestra and help to ensure that learning about, and gaining appreciation for symphonic music is available for all members of our community to enjoy.
The Northern Orchestra does not charge a fee to its members. It operates primarily with volunteers and is guided by an Orchestral Advisory Committee made up of musicians and community members. It relies on community donations and sponsorship in order to cover its costs for concerts, travel, hall rentals, guest soloists and music purchases.
Here are some ways you can support the Northern Orchestra!
As a Sponsor
- Sponsor a concert $500
- Sponsor a soloist $250
Benefits of Sponsorship
Along with our gratitude you will receive acknowledgement in all advertising, printed materials, concert programs and on our website. Additionally concert sponsors at $500 or more will receive prominently placed logo acknowledgement, lobby signage, complimentary tickets, VIP seating and a post concert meet and greet.
As an Individual Donor
- Allegro Society $25 - $99
- Prelude Society $100-$249
- Concerto Society $250-$499
- Conductor’s Circle $500 or more
Benefits of Donation
All donors will receive our heartfelt thanks, a pair of complimentary tickets to a concert of your choice, and an invitation to attend an annual donor appreciation reception. Additionally, Conductor’s Circle members will be invited to observe a rehearsal.
In Kind Donations
We are grateful to receive donations of goods and services for which we would normally have to pay. Here is our current wish list of items:
- Transportation/bus service
- Bookkeeping services
- Office Supplies
- Printer
- Printing and design work
- Musical instruments and supplies (please ask us)
Please note that we are not currently set up to issue charitable tax receipts – we are a non profit organization and we hope to be able to achieve registered charity status with Canada Revenue in the very near future.
